Yes, we can wait to be paid for the legal services we provide in your car accident case. In fact, that’s the way we prefer to work.
If Harrison, White, Smith & Coggins, P.C., can pursue a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit on your behalf after a car accident, we will do so on a contingency fee basis. This means our fee will depend (be contingent on) the outcome of the lawsuit.
First, we will sit down with you to discuss your accident and the legal options that may be available to you. We will conduct a preliminary investigation of your case to determine whether we think you have a valid claim.
If we think we can move forward with a lawsuit, we will explain it to you and ask you to retain us to work on our behalf. If you agree, we will draw up a contract providing that we will receive a set percentage of the proceeds from any claims we file on your behalf.
Our legal fee and expenses will come from any settlement we can negotiate or verdict we win for you. As you can see, we all benefit from us doing a good job for you, while you risk nothing.
If you have further questions, please contact us as soon as possible. Remember, our initial consultation is always free.
