Spartanburg, S.C. — Harrison White, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Kerrison A. Schmutz as an associate in its Spartanburg, S.C. office. Schmutz will join managing partner John B. White Jr. and partner Allison Dunham as the newest member of the firm’s team of family law attorneys in providing professional and compassionate service and the best representation possible to protect their clients’ interests when a marriage ends or a custody issue arises.
A graduate of the Charleston School of Law, Schmutz gained experience as a Charleston County Family Court intern and as an Attorney General’s Office extern. She advocated for neglected and abused children as a court appointed special advocate and clerked with two Charleston-area law firms.
“We are pleased to have Kerrison join our firm where I’m confident she will become an integral member of our team,” says White. “Kerrison’s deep understanding of the law as well as her passion for advocating on behalf of others makes her a perfect fit for our firm and our mission to provide the most personal and effective advice, representation and counsel.”
A native of Charleston, S.C., Schmutz received her undergraduate degree from Montana State University in Bozeman. While in law school she was active on a variety of boards and societies, including the Trial Advocacy Board, the Women in Law Society, the Children’s Advocacy and Family Law Society and the Adult Guardianship Assistance and Mentoring Program.
“I’m honored to join Harrison White because it’s a firm that cares,” says Schmutz. “We take our time to get to know our clients and become involved with their lives and hardships. Therefore, we work harder to fight and stand up for them.”
