Marghretta H. Shisko

Marghretta Hagood Shisko joined Harrison White in 2011 shortly after graduating cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law and is focusing her practice on complex civil litigation and business litigation.

Her work on behalf of clients spans a wide range of functions, including writing of briefs, research, discovery coordination, and preparation work for depositions and hearings.

“I like being able to work on some of the bigger cases and having the opportunity to get good experience at a young age,” she says. ”I like those cases because they’re more challenging. They present more complicated and interesting legal issues.”

Shisko received her undergraduate degree from Wofford College, summa cum laude, in 2008, with majors in government (with concentrations on political thought and international politics) and Spanish, and a minor in economics.

She was a Congressional intern for a time in Washington, D.C. and by her senior year had decided that she wanted to become a lawyer. As a student at the University of South Carolina School of Law, Hagood served as associate editor-in-chief of the South Carolina Law Review, and was a member of the Order of Wig and Robe as well as the Calhoun Inn of Phi Delta Phi.

In her spare time, Shisko enjoys cooking and interior decoration.
